Graduate from an approved Respiratory Therapy program AMA approved Respirtory Care program. Current licensure with State of Florida as a Respiratory Care Practitioner with minimum 3 years experience in a healthcare environment. Must have current ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NRP certifications. Maintains clinical an dprofessional competencies earning a minimum of 20 CE hours annually. Ability to take call; work weekends, holidays and off shifts when necessary. Progressive experience as a Respiratory Practitioner demonstrating thorough knowledge of job requirements. Effective leadership skills, strong decision making skills. Must possess good organization and communication skills and the ability to interact in a positive manner at all levels. Proficient in English language. The Respiratory Therapist performs all basic therapies as per policy and procedure, adequaley monitoring patient for adverse reactions. Performs arterial blood gas punctures, suctions, sets up and monitors CPAP and noninvasive ventilators, and monitors and adjusts non-ICU ventilators. Educates and instructs patients in purpose, technique, self care, goal of therapy, and disease management. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Graduate of accredited respiratory program.

* Experience preferred but will consider new graduates.
