Description

The RN is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Utilizing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Medication administration

· Responsible for insertion of PICC lines

· Responsible for assisting with bedside procedures using moderate sedation


Shift:

* 7P-7A.

* Must commit to (3) 12-hour shifts per week

* Must be available to work every other weekend.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* AS degree, BSN preferred

* At least 3-5 years of nursing experience; preferably in ED, ICU or PCU

The Lab Tech Assistant is responsible for obtaining blood specimens on inpatients and outpatients of differing age groups as required. The Lab Tech Assistant must be able to obtain blood by the use of various phlebotomy techniques. They must be able to use the computer system for generating labels, collections lists and for retrieving copies of reports as well as other functions.
