Requisition ID 18899 Full/Part Time Full-time Location Tavares, FL Description Working under the direction of the Director of Cardiovascular Services, the Clinical Nurse Specialist primary responsibility is to identify staff educational needs and provide clinical instruction, collaborate in the management of heart and vascular patients, facilitate best nursing practices, serve as a leader, consultant and liaison, and conduct research to improve nursing practice. MSN required. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Florida license. Certified BLS, ACLS and PALS required. Must have 5 years recent post open heart surgery experience. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's policies and procedures. Must have excellent computer skills and exceptional customer service and communiation skills. Must be proficient in the English language.
